LET’S BUILD

Return to the known staging settings

If application semantics fail, stop the staged load, restore the exact before copy with the same owner/mode as the current file and reload. This is an operator-reviewed edit: preserve any concurrent changes instead of copying over them blindly. Recycle only the staged application connections through the normal lifecycle and repeat the correctness test. Keep a session-pooled route for workloads that cannot meet transaction-pooling assumptions; disabling preparation alone does not fix session state.

bash

Staging PgBouncer host with approved admin service

diff -u -- '/etc/pgbouncer/pgbouncer.ini.before-transaction' '/etc/pgbouncer/pgbouncer.ini'
nano '/etc/pgbouncer/pgbouncer.ini'
/usr/lib/postgresql/18/bin/psql -X -v ON_ERROR_STOP=1 'service=academy_pool_admin' -c 'RELOAD;' -c 'SHOW CONFIG;' -c 'SHOW POOLS;'
How do I know it worked?

Known settings and application correctness are restored; no unrelated sessions are terminated.
